Al Madinah Health Research Hub

Al Madinah Health Research Hub is a research institute that conducts research and runs scientific investigations to drive further evolution and improvement in the healthcare ecosystem. Serving as the first-of-its-kind impartial experimental space, the Hub will contribute to developing new services and capabilities for ambulances, paramedics, treatment options, and other care pathways. Al Madinah Health Research Hub aims to test hypotheses, answer questions, improve treatment options, and increase knowledge about human health in Al Madinah city. To this end, it analyzes and improves service delivery across the healthcare provider ecosystem and conducts research to further investigate specific diseases and treatment options. Such a program would render the city a research hub, granting its visibility and recognition in the scientific landscape while also empowering residents and engaging them in this effort.

USE CASE

JOURNEY

Abdullah is a program manager at the Ministry of Health and commits to overseeing the Health Research Hub in Al Madinah city aimed at advancing healthcare research to develop the sector.

Abdullah’s team establishes partnerships with other entities, health providers, universities and technology companies to gain a holistic view of the city residents’ health context, to enable the hub to make sound decisions on the priority research areas, tests and question.

As research is conducted, it is made available to the hub’s partners to view and analyze, with data and results from experiments logged on the hub’s platform or demonstrated in the physical space.

Theories and findings are constantly shared with relevant healthcare stakeholders for review, and training programs are organized for doctors and researchers to discuss and work on validated outcomes to be deployed and leveraged.

In addition, KPIs are closely monitored to ensure that the hub’s outputs have a positive impact on Al Madinah resident’s health. As an example, the team is pleased to see a decrease in blood pressure patients flow following the launch of a campaign with recommended habits to manage blood pressure issues.
