Al Madinah Loyalty Program “Madenati”

“Madenati” Loyalty Program enables MDA to further interact with the city’s residents and visitors by setting loyalty challenges and rewarding users for completing these challenges. The challenges may include the purchase of goods produced in Al Madinah, healthcare challenges, or challenges related to launching and expanding a business. The “Madenati” program will be location-specific and available in all city venues including restaurants, shops, touristic attractions, and sports facilities. It can be also directly linked to the users’ wearables or digital wallets. Upon purchasing an item or completing an activity, users will be given loyalty points across different tiers (basic, silver, gold and platinum). They can then exchange their points for various rewards or discounts. “Madenati” will also allow MDA to collect information on the behaviors of residents and tourists, enabling the generation of new use cases to develop Al Madinah Smart City and transform the city.

USE CASE

JOURNEY

MDA has recently updated the challenges on its “Madenati” loyalty program for the month of September. It has included challenges to promote well-being and encourage the purchase of locally made goods.

Fahim is an avid user of the app who is currently a gold member. As he goes for his daily jog, he connects the app to his smartwatch to track the number of calories burned and steps taken. Upon reaching his daily goal, he receives a notification of having completed the daily wellbeing challenge.

On his way back home, Fahim stops by a grocery store and picks up some items his. When purchasing dates, he makes sure to choose those made in Al Madinah. While completing the payment, the cashier scans the bar code shown on the “Madenati” loyalty app and the purchase is automatically registered into the app.

Once he reaches home, Fahim checks his account and his points balances, and proceeds to the reward window to redeem gifts from a wide range of available options.
