Doctors Digital Assistant “Tabib” (DDA)

Tabib, meaning a doctor in Arabic and the old designation for a physician, is a multilingual doctors digital assistant (DDA) that connects practitioners from various fields, enabling them to exchange information and advice on a specific diagnosis.

Through the use of smart tablets and mobiles, Tabib platform empowers the healthcare sector to become more significant with accessible, consumable and digital information due to disruptive technologies. Seeking to foster high-quality healthcare in the city, this digital assistant will also enable access to large repository of applications and data including reports, published research and relevant news that provide practitioners with up-to-date relevant information, eventually offering higher quality and more efficient medical care to the city visitors and residents. The app can be used by doctors during, or after the patient’s visit for effective and certain diagnosis and enables the doctor to setup an appointment for the patient with another doctor if needed.

USE CASE

JOURNEY

Dr. Khaled has recently completed his medical training and taken up a position in a family health clinic. Upon onboarding, he receives a tablet with several applications, serving as his digital assistant. Dr. Khaled navigates through a range of pre-downloaded apps including a medical networking platform for discussing diagnosis and treatments with other physicians, an anatomy app, as well as links to the hospital’s e- health system.

A few weeks later, he has a scheduled appointment with a young girl suffering from a skin condition. Although he already arrives at a preliminary diagnosis, he wishes to get a second opinion and uses the digital assistant app to find a dermatologist in the city with whom he can connect within minutes. Through a video call, he shares the patient’s condition, and gets advice on the best recommended treatment. Once the session is over, he is prompted to review and submit a rating for the digital assistant.

Later that day, Dr. Khaled decides to listen to some of the latest audio content on medical topics while driving back home. Using the tablet, he taps to play an audio report on the latest Covid-19 data.
